Messy Shaving Cream Play

Today, Sammie wanted to spend so time outside, so I was trying to find something different for the girls for do. I remember seeing this type of activity on Pinterest, but of course, now I can't find my pin again :( I really need to organize my boards better.  Ha, I found it :) It was at  Dirt and Boogers

Anyways, I threw a lot of our water beads and a whole can of shaving cream into one of the totes in the water/sand table and set out all of the bottles of coloured water.

I brought the girls outside and showed it to them. :)

"What is this?" "Oohh, that's gross" "Yucky" "Cold" were some of their reactions lol I really wish I had a video camera out to catch the faces and laughs when they first put their hands in it lol

Getting their hands right in it. Sammie wasn't too sure about it. As soon as her hands were covered, she wanted to wash them off lol

Maddie thought it was pretty cool but gross too :)

They then started spraying some water colours into it. Sammie using purple of course lol

These are our newest additions to our water/sand supplies. Two sizes of tubing from the plumbing department at Home Depot and a couple of funnels

Trying out the funnel and tubing

Stirring and mixing it all up :)
Sammie says "it looks like Easter"

Adding more coloured water

Then they decided to try and spray it with the water squirters. It actually shoots the shaving cream. :)

Sammie went ahead and stuck her hands in it again. :) Maddie had a hard time convincing herself to put her hands in it again lol

She went right up to her elbows in it

Sammie then said she had enough of the shaving cream and asked to make some more soup. So we moved the shaving cream to the second spot and put water in the other bin. Maddie wanted to keep playing with the shaving cream

Maddie added a lot more water to make it more foamy and then added some more coloured water.

Sammie made more of her purple soup :)

The girls had a lot of fun with this activity :) Even if they really didn't care for getting their hands covered in shaving cream

I am sure glad that we did this outside. I can't imagine trying to clean this up inside :)
