Colourful Rice part 2

Recently I shared a post on making colourful rice and some different ways to use it for sensory play.

Colourful Rice

Sammie's favourite game to play with it is to find hidden erasers. I had bought a lot of little erasers and she loves for me to hide them in her rice tub so she can find them. I decided to make cards with pictures of the erasers on them, so when she finds one she can match it up to the card :)

Here are lots of other ways to play with rice :)

At Plain Vanilla Mom, they have used rice to Practice Fractions

They also made baby shakers, and "Find It" bags

I just love the Coloured Rice Art that they made :)

Mama Smiles made very pretty pictures on trays

At Famiglia and Seoul, coloured rice was part of an outdoor cooking creation

Mommy with Selective Memory use some rice on a foil pan to keep kids busy

The Iowa Farmer's Wife made beautiful fireworks pictures by gluing rice on paper

Creative Play House made some very pretty pictures by sticking rice on paper and played with the leftover rice :)

All these activities look like so much fun :) We will have to try some of them out for sure :)
