During the summer months, we have a trailer that we spend most weekends at. I wanted to bring over some craft stuff for the kids to do during the rainy days or times that they just want to be inside.
Being that this is the Victoria Day long weekend and the official start to camping season around here, I thought I would set this up for our first trailer weekend.
Normally we would go to the trailer on Friday and come home Monday afternoon. Unfortunately, Austin does not remember the trailer from last summer and will not sleep at the trailer yet, so we have been spending most of the day there and coming home to sleep here. Good thing our trailer is only about 10 minutes from home lol
I bought a small tote with a handle, so that it can be carried around.
This is what I put in it:
-construction paper
-plain paper
-scissors
-stamp pad
-some stamps I made from bottle tops and foam shapes
-glue
-pipe cleaners
-a variety of popsicle sticks
-straws
-a box of crayons
- tub of different types of craft supplies
In the tub, I put:
-googly eyes
-variety of pom poms
-variety of rhinestones
-variety of beads
-variety of coloured pasta
-variety of foam shapes
I'm still trying to think of a better way to keep all the little craft supplies instead of all thrown together in the tub. I can see it getting spilled very easily or the kids having trouble finding what they want in the tub.
I think I might also add a set of the watercolour paint trays.
I made sure it all fit in the tote. :) The pads of paper are a little big, but I sort of folded them along the bottom and up the top
There we go, all set to craft at the trailer :)
One of the girls' creations while crafting with this at the trailer :)
Hopefully Sammie and Maddie will get lots of use of it this summer. :) Well, actually I hope they don't, as that means they are in the trailer instead of outside enjoying the summer :)
If you have any ideas about how better to store all the little craft supplies, please comment here or join us over at our Facebook page
This is genius. We travel quite a bit, and I'm always cramming as much in our bags. My boys would miss our supplies too much if I didn't.
ReplyDeleteThanks :) My girls would be lost if I didn't take some supplies with us and this way the supplies are all together with a place to put them when they are done with the supplies :)
